Warsaw, IN – June 2025 – Award-winning storytellers Christopher and Mercedes Sanchez, a dynamic father-daughter creative team, have been honored with two National Communicator Awards for their exceptional video production work on behalf of the Steuben County Tourism Bureau and Afdent Dental. These prestigious accolades, presented by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, celebrate the best in advertising,
corporate communications, public relations, and identity work for video, web, and interactive content.
The first award recognized the Steuben County Tourism Bureau’s video “The Annual Balloons Aloft,” a stunning ride-along feature that combined an engaging interview with spectacular aerial visuals, immersing viewers in the beauty and excitement of the county’s beloved hot air balloon festival. The second honor went to a 30-second commercial for Afdent Dental, which featured multiple Afdent team members on-camera, effectively showcasing the breadth of services and the patient-friendly approach the practice is known for. The production highlighted Afdent’s commitment to accessible, compassionate dentistry in a concise and compelling format.
The Communicator Awards are one of the most prestigious programs honoring creative excellence for communications professionals, with over 5,000 entries submitted each year from across the U.S. and around the world. Winning represents not only technical excellence but a high level of storytelling impact.
